Mullein is a time-honored herb known for its many health benefits, with its leaves, flowers, and roots all offering unique healing properties. The soft, velvety leaves are especially valued for supporting respiratory health—helping to calm coughs, loosen mucus, and ease symptoms of bronchitis and asthma. Often brewed as tea or used in herbal smoking blends, mullein leaves have earned a reputation as a natural lung supporter.

Beyond the leaves, the plant’s golden flowers are rich in anti-inflammatory properties. They are commonly infused into oil to treat ear infections, soothe skin irritations, and reduce swelling. Mullein flower tea is also known to aid digestion.

The lesser-known root has traditionally been used to support the urinary tract, relieve joint pain, strengthen bladder function, and calm nerve pain.
