In March 2025, country star Blake Shelton paused hisFriends & Heroestour to grant the final wish of 12-year-old Emily Harper, a leukemia patient at the Jimmy Everest Center in Oklahoma. Her dream was to hear Shelton sing her favorite song, “God Gave Me You.”
On March 10, Shelton arrived at her hospital room with his guitar. He performed an emotional acoustic set, including “Austin” and “Honey Bee,” bringing smiles and tears to everyone present. Emily, clutching a bear named after him, lit up with joy.
