Those hoping to see Amber Heard back on the big screen following her very public court case with ex Johnny Depp will be out of luck.

Amber Heard has since relocated to Spain with her daughter and has shown no signs of returning to the US.

The actor has even gone as far to change her name and has avoided the spotlight since the trial.

When the trial was concluded Heard, who speaks fluent Spanish, moved to Madrid with her daughter, with reports claiming she was quitting Hollywood following the backlash from the trial.

Heard had previously been seen in a small village in Mallorca living under a pseudonym, before local news outlets revealed her identity.

Since then Heard has moved to Madrid, and seemingly has no plans to return to Los Angeles any time soon.

It seems that this plan is supported by the Aquaman star’s IMDB page, which lists no upcoming projects for her.

Heard made the move to Spain after losing a defamation case against Depp in the US.

The case arose after Heard published an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed that she had been the victim of domestic abuse.

Although she did not explicitly name Depp in the piece, the actor sued Heard for defamation.

Heard responded by counter-suing Depp for $100 million, with the case going on to be covered around the globe.

In the end, a jury found in favour of both Depp’s original suit and Heard’s counter-suit.

All outstanding settlements from the case were believed to have been settled by the end of 2022, and Heard made the decision to relocate to Spain.

Speaking in 2022, a source reportedly close to Heard told PEOPLE: “She is focused on raising her daughter. She spends every day with her girl.

“They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”

And with no upcoming projects listed on IMDB it seems apparent that Heard has no plans to return to acting in the near future at least.

The actor is said to have used the name Martha Jane Cannary, the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane.

Commenting on the name, El Diario de Mallorca wrote: “The choice of this identity, which appears at the entrance of her new Mallorcan home, draws much attention.

“Especially as Johnny Depp always maintained that his family trace their roots to ancient Native American tribes and that his great-great-grandmother was Cherokee.”

UNILAD has reached out to representatives of Amber Heard for comment.

Amber Heard is now going by a different name after leaving the US and moving to a different country

Amber Heard seems to be making a new life for herself following her legal battles with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Depp and Heard wed in 2015, but the Aquaman actress filed for divorce just a year later.

While they issued a joint statement at the time of settling their divorce in 2016, appearing to put on a united front, things turned sour between the pair followed Heard’s op-ed in The Washington Post.

In the 2018 article, Heard spoke about her experiences with sexual abuse and violence and, while she didn’t directly name Depp as her abuser, he went on to sue her for defamation.

Heard went on to countersue for $100 million and accused him of creating a ‘smear campaign’ about her.

Their explosive court case hit headlines across the globe, with a jury going on to vote in favor of Depp.

They also voted in favor of Heard’s counter-suit however, and said that one of Depp’s lawyers defamed the actress in one of three statements highlighted in the filing.

By the end of 2022, all of the court filings were believed to have been settled and Heard decided to relocate to Spain with her young daughter, Oonagh Paige.

She welcomed her child via surrogate in April 2021 and has never revealed the baby’s father.

Now, in a bid to start her new life in Spain, Heard had reportedly adopted a new name.

Last year, it was said that she had been living under the pseudonym Martha Jane Cannary, which is the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane.

The El Diario de Mallorca reported at the time: “The choice of this identity, which appears at the entrance of her new Mallorcan home, draws much attention, especially as Johnny Depp always maintained that his family trace their roots to ancient Native American tribes and that his great-great-grandmother was Cherokee.”

It is unclear if Heard still uses this name, however.
