Gene Hackman’s property was a ‘breeding ground for hantavirus’ with dead rodents and feces everywhere, according to reports.
Hackman, 95, and Betsy Arakawa, 65, were found dead in their Santa Fe home on February 26.
Hackman’s body was discovered in the mudroom, while Arakawa was found in the bathroom, surrounded by prescription bottles.
Their partially mummified remains indicated they had been deceased for some time.
