According to The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson, there appears to be a difference of opinion between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex regarding the public exposure of their children—five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
Speaking on A Right Royal Podcast, Wilkinson said, “From what I’ve gathered, Harry would prefer to keep their children out of the public eye. He has this belief that if they leave Montecito, a swarm of photographers will be waiting to snap pictures of his kids.”
In contrast, he explained, Meghan, who grew up in California, envisions a more open, West Coast-style lifestyle for her children—one that includes beach outings and public activities. “She doesn’t want to hide them away,” he added.
